Not sure when it is reopening but it is staying as the Syndicate and the firm that have bought it are hoping to extend the brand accross the country. Just what the overstretched police of Blackpool don't need!! Another nightclub pouring out poison onto the streets at 4 or 5 in the morning!! How Blackpool can continue to strive for that "family resort" image and yet continue to grant licences to places like this way beyond my comprehension. So next time i fancy a night out ill go down the park shall i?
I always felt the place was particulally well managed personally, and it was hardly on the prom, kids and young adults will behave this way wherever they are and removing safe environments for them to do it in will only compond the issue.
I think you might find that Lancashire's Chief Constable might just disagree with you on that one. As for your "go to the park" quote.. Have a look around the town centre - there's hardly what you would call a shortage of other pubs and clubs to choose from. My point is whether Blackpool really needs yet another one? Another for the overstretched Police to deal with at chucking out time? At the end of the day, the resort survived decades as a family resort.
It's a terrible situation when people like myself feel that we can't take our young families to enjoy everything the place has to offer - and it does have loads - at weekends because you can't move for loud mouth agressive drunks. Cant comment on how well it was managed, i used to go there approx once a month and seemed ok cant comment on in general though, just my personal opinion! Looks like the people who do gatecrasher have taken over so they will have lots of experience and can hopefully work with the police.
I too have a young family, most seaside resorts are like this now, look at what the south coast, bourmouth manages well with stag doos ect why cant blackpool?! Ther is also the taste factor, when i was resident in blackpool i used to travel to manchester and sheffield for a good night out with music that i like Would not be caught dead in alot of blackpool clubs, Tower Lounge ect. To sum up blackpool needs to cater for everyone if its going to prosper, and penalising all younger visitors with particular music taste isnt going to help.
What's this then? The let's have a go at Blackpool page?! I lived here for many years, but also sampled the delights of other towns in Lancs too whilst ive moved around for my career. I do not find Blackpool any worse on a Saturday night than any where else.
At the end of the day a lot of the trouble in Blackpool is brought here and we locals have to put up with it. But I love this town and have rarely had problems in the clubs or pubs. It's not the town that's a problem - it's the behaviour of people which let it down. For anyone who's visiting don't be put off!! This topic has been closed to new posts due to inactivity. The Syndicate nightclub in Blackpool has closed down now, it was the biggest nightclub in the U.
K and surely worth a little peak around. Are there any people on here that would be interested? The Syndicate, Blackpool, is Europe's biggest nightclub and has closed down, surely it is worth a look around. Would anyone in Blackpool be up for it? Marsden Love it! From manchester but wouldn't mind it for my first poke around sometime?
Just need a bit of notice via pm? HopkinsXD said:. Kind of sums the council up "would suit short term" Why the hell pull a building down, to make it a car park to then maybe build something else on it? All it needs is a refront and its all good! I only live 10 mins away, saw Calvin Harris there I'm just gutted, fab club, but I was really looking forward to viewing inside, no chance.
It's a bare shell isn't it? Not too much, lighting still working not rigging though as it went to bailiffs! But I think a lot is left. Hence the security.
